DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION

At Sierra Gorda SCM we continue to promote the organizational challenge of people management with the aim of improving the leadership we exercise over them. In line with this goal, this year we formed the Diversity and Inclusion Committee, which was created under the supervision of the VP of Human Resources, but as a transversal entity at the corporate level.

This committee is composed of ten members, three of whom are from the Human Resources area, while the others are executives from different divisions of the company.

The main function of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee (D&I) is to draw up and implement a project development plan in this area, and annually review and ensure compliance with the strategy.

In terms of its priorities, we have identified four focal points:

GENDER DIVERSITY

In Sierra Gorda SCM men and women in the same positions receive equal compensation. We are facing the challenge of increasing female representation, which has been maintained in recent years.

PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES

By law, companies with 100 or more workers must engage or retain, as the case may be, at least 1 percent of the total number of workers with disabilities or receiving a disability pension under any provisional scheme.

It is important to note that Sierra Gorda SCM meets the requirements of the law, exceeding the required limit. In 2023, 19 employees of the Company were persons with disabilities (PwD), which represents a percentage above the minimum 1% required by law.

MULTICULTURALISM

We have representatives of 10 different nationalities working in our organization. In 2023 we had 3.28% of foreign workers.

INTERGENERATIONALITY

Workers have the average age of 42 years. We are working to encourage the inclusion of young and expert staff.

DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION POLICY SIERRA GORDA SCM

The Diversity and Inclusion Policy lays the foundation for building a corporate culture that is aware of the value of diversity. This policy establishes guidelines that guarantee a responsible management of teams, where respect and non-discrimination prevail. Differences are valued and the active participation of the entire Company is encouraged in strengthening inclusive actions.
