SUSTAINABILITY POLICY
In order to project the operation of the Company over time in a responsible manner and in accordance with the environmental, social, and governance aspects, we have established a Sustainability Policy, which establishes the necessary guidelines to comply with the pillars of sustainable development, acknowledging the role we play within the region.
The Sustainability Policy provides a framework that drives an integrated mining operation and encompasses three dimensions: caring for people, the environment and communities.
In this line, compliance with this policy is the responsibility of each employee of the Company across the board and covers the different obligations that allow us to operate sustainably in the short, medium and long term. This is defined under the following criteria:
MAINTAIN SUSTAINABILITY AS A PRACTICE ACROSS THE BOARD
All workers at the different levels must fulfill the commitments undertaken, which means maximizing the economic value of the assets, contributing to social development and minimizing the environmental impact. To this end, systems must be developed that allow the dissemination of knowledge on the issues related to this policy in a simple and practical way.
PROMOTE TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION
The constant search for new techniques is essential for the continuous improvement of processes. This implies fostering the incorporation of innovative technologies throughout the work chain, enhancing knowledge and seeking to reduce costs to remain leaders in the processes developed.
PROPER USE OF RESOURCES
We seek to ensure an efficient use of material assets and consider reduction, reuse, and recycling within the management options.
COMPLIANCE WITH APPLICABLE LAW
It is an obligation of each worker and each area of the operation in the short, medium and long term, as well as the fulfillment of commitments with the competent authorities.

CARE OF ENVIRONMENT
At Sierra Gorda SCM we must maintain a preventive culture against environmental risks inherent in operations. It is our duty to develop and implement energy and water efficiency, waste reduction, emissions reduction, particulate matter control, recycling and reuse of materials, to minimize the environmental impact of our operation on the surroundings.
The Sustainability Policy not only reflects the crosscutting and comprehensive approach that we have at Sierra Gorda SCM to see sustainability but it is also aligned with our ESTAR values and our PODER hallmark, which empower the entire Company in the search for optimization and better results, in every area.
