ARTIFICIAL VISION FOR VEHICLE ACCESS CONTROL TO THE MINE

To improve the safety of our facilities, especially in the entrances to the pit area, we have implemented artificial vision technology. This innovative solution involves the development of algorithms that, through cameras, can identify whether the vehicles accessing the sector meet the minimum safety requirements, such as: beacons, poles and flags. When the algorithm detects a failure in compliance with the conditions, it sends out a message to take preventive and corrective measures immediately.

This project was the result of teamwork between Computer Science and Digital Transformation Management, Health, Safety and Environment Management and Mine Operations Management.
