WHAT DO WE PRODUCE?

In Sierra Gorda SCM we have set ourselves the goal of supplying green copper and molybdenum to the world, and with that aim, we seek a new way to do mining.

We operate with sustainable innovations from the start, including using 100% of non-desalinated seawater in our operations, which allows us not to compete with our neighbors for inland waters.

Since 2021, we gradually began our transition to supply the operations with renewable electricity, reaching 100% of clean energy in our operations during 2023, which means stopping emitting one million tons of CO2 per year.

One of the most relevant innovations is the use of high-pressure grinding rolls (HPGR). We are the only copper mining company in Chile that has implemented this technology, which allows remarkable energy saving.

All of the above is accompanied by strong governance and compliance standards, ensuring integrity and transparency in every aspect of our business.
